Each issue of our school magazine is a milestone that marks our growth, unfolds our imagination, and gives life to our thoughts and aspirations. It unleashes a wide spectrum a creative skills ranging from writing to editing and even in designing the magazine. I congratulate the entire Editorial team for their hard work and  dedication  in making this venture a success.

As you approach the close of this academic year, it is time to stop for a while and   ponder  : Are we headed in the right direction or are we going alone without any  aim or purpose? Remember to have lived your life well,   to  have worked with enthusiasm and dedication, to have  savored  every  small aspect of your life as student-this and only this will ultimately stand the test of time. Nothing is permanent- only the deed we do will outlast us. Hence as students you need to direct your life wisely to be successfully and for the good of others.

Like the honeybee, strive ahead even the way ahead of you is tough and hard to tread along. Nothing shall hinder you marching ahead. If you think you can, you definitely can. Discover yourself, unleash the potentials within you and soar to the heights of your life.

S.D.M.S. gives a platform to which the young learners are endowed with the capacity t give a fillip to the exteriorization of their inner talents.

I must express my pride at the fact that the school is  working  unrestricted , providing to its students a conducive environment for all round development and learning. In the  21^st  century ,the digital revolution is affecting all. In this era if a child’s work is appreciated, it results in heightened self –esteem, which in turn results in self motivation and enables the child to develop as a whole.  “To find what you seek in the road of life- leave no stone unturned.”

At S.D.M.S., we aim to provide a broad based, well balanced and relevant curriculum. We are always looking for new ways to involve parents in school life and to keep them informed about the things we are doing.

We, at   S.D.M.S.  believe  that each child is a genius, waiting to be discovered. What he needs is love, appreciation, and gentle but firm support that would give him wings of confidence .Time taken out to compose their thoughts and achievements towards honing their skills matters most and must not be ignored at any phase. We envision students planning and implementing  their  own  learning  in the near future  as the great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it. “If we did all the things we are really capable of, we would literally astound ourselves.”

In order to eliminate the monotony of the classrooms and to inculcate the values of learning to be , learning to know , learning to do and learning to live together, practicing , cleanliness, politeness , respect  to authority , respect for time , respecting others rights and feelings- all based on a deeper understanding and faith in God, facilities for co- curricular activities like music , art, drama, sports, declamation etc. have been made available.

Seminars , debates, panel discussions , literary , cultural and other activities kept the students on their toes during the year. Our music , debate , sports  and quiz teams won laurels in the inter school competitions organized at the district and the regional levels.

The school provides the students best of the infrastructure and the modern technology aids. We also have smart classrooms to make learning and teaching an enjoyable experience. The students are also given the facilities of well maintained and well equipped laboratories -  Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer and English where the students can clarify their concepts  practically.

The whole school is under CCTV surveillance.

Our students are excelling in Board Exam Results for AISSCE & AISSE year by year.

All said and done , I am aware that we have a long way to go and it will always  be our endeavor to bring out the best out of our students and bring them to the forefront.

I would like to acknowledge the guidance and blessings of our school management in all our endeavors . T he  willing cooperation , hard work and selfless service of the members of our  staff and the interest of the students to learn more and more have enabled us to achieve what we are today. I am grateful to the enlightened parents and guardians for their cooperation and understanding. I would like to assure that with their added cooperation we can achieve much more.

May we continue to give our students strong roots like the Banyan tree and stronger wings to conquer the world!!
